From Engineering to Cooking: My Journey from Student Kitchen to Food Blog
It all started when I was a student, living alone for the first time. With a tiny kitchen, a handful of ingredients, and no real clue what I was doing, I began cooking out of necessity, but quickly, it turned into something more. I discovered how comforting it felt to create something from scratch, and how even the simplest meal could lift my mood after a long day.

Fast forward a few years: I became an engineer, building systems and solving problems by day, but still spending every spare moment in the kitchen. Cooking was my passion, my escape, and the place where I truly felt at home.
Eventually, I realized I didn’t want to keep that joy to myself. So I took a leap, at 34 I left my job and decided to follow my heart. That’s how this blog was born: from a love of food, a desire to share it, and a belief that anyone can cook with a bit of guidance and inspiration.

Every recipe on this blog has been tested (and retested!) in my own kitchen, with real ingredients, real messes, and real-life time constraints. I don’t just cook for the camera, I cook to feed, to comfort, and to share. As an engineer-turned-foodie, I bring precision to every dish, but always with a dash of heart. I only share recipes that I truly love and that I know work. If it’s on the blog, it’s because I’ve made it, tasted it, and said, “Yep! this one’s a keeper.”
